My name is Richard Kahl. I have played and taught the guitar professionally for over 40 years.

Most people who take up the guitar do so because they want to be able to play some of their favorite songs. They don't care how many sharps there are in the key of G or how many beats there are in a dotted half note. And they don't want to learn a bunch of songs that they don't care about from the last century. You don't have to know any of this stuff (unless you want to) to be able to play the guitar.

I can teach you songs or solos from the songs that you want to learn now. Songs by Jack Johnson or Nickelback or Taylor Swift or whoever. It doesn't matter to me. I want you to enjoy yourself and enjoy learning what you want to know. I have been playing the guitar professionally for over 40 yrs. Whatever it is that you want to learn, I can help you. I have vast experience teaching both adults both adults and children.
